Project: Repair and remanufacture of a granulator rotor.

Start Date: January 2010

Our client changed out this granulator rotor for a new one recently and sent the used rotor to us for repair. After a thorough inspection, it will have the bearing journals and keyways inspected and cleaned up. In order to repair the blade mounting holes, they will need have threaded inserts machined and staked into place. Any other problems we find will be addressed. Finally it will be sent out to be rebalanced.

This is one of the repairs to the threaded holes. New steel inserts were machined, installed and locked into place with setscrews. The holes were located in a horizontal boring mill for precision.
